Alilauro offers a dedicated free assistance service for passengers with disabilities or reduced mobility, available by reservation. Specially trained staff provide support during boarding, disembarkation and accommodation on board.

Minor escort assistance

Travelling by sea can be a wonderful adventure. In addition to the many services available for families, Alilauro offers a dedicated assistance service for unaccompanied minors.

On request, children and young people can be entrusted to our onboard staff: a hostess or steward will accompany them during the journey, making sure they enjoy the experience in complete safety and peace of mind.

When conditions allow, we try to make the journey even more special with a brief greeting on the bridge.

The service is available subject to authorization from a parent or legal guardian and completion of the dedicated declaration before departure.

Unaccompanied Minors

In accordance with Article 11 of Alilauro S.p.A.'s General Conditions of Carriage, young passengers aged 12 to under 18 may travel on our high-speed vessels without an accompanying adult, provided that they carry the appropriate written authorization signed by their parents or legal guardians.

Below you will find all the necessary information and the procedure to follow to ensure that the minor can travel safely and in full compliance with the applicable requirements.

How the authorization works

The authorization is a mandatory form through which the parents or legal guardians release the company from custodial responsibility during the sea journey.

Validity: the form is valid for one minor and for the specified route or routes, whether outbound, return or both.
Format: it must be completed and signed in two original copies.
Documents to attach: a copy of the valid identity document of the parent or legal guardian signing the declaration must be attached.

Important notice: pursuant to Article 46 of Italian Presidential Decree no. 445/2000, false declarations will be reported immediately to the competent authorities.

What to do on the day of departure

To avoid delays during boarding, the minor must follow these steps:

Check-in: the minor must present the completed and signed form, together with their own identity document and a copy of the parent or legal guardian's identity document, when checking in at one of our ticket offices.
Quayside check: the authorization must also be presented during the checks carried out before boarding.
On board: the vessel command reserves the right to retain one copy of the authorization for each journey made.

Personal details and contact information of the parents or legal guardians.
The minor's personal details and identity document information.
Journey details: ticket number, dates, departure port and arrival port.

Pets on board

Four-legged friends, and not only them, are welcome on board our vessels. We are happy to welcome all kinds of furry travel companions, because for us holidays are better when the whole family can travel together.

A dedicated ticket is required for pets.

Alilauro is also among the first shipping companies to introduce specific life jackets for pets on board, to ensure even greater safety for our small passengers too.
